Chic Gamine’s self titled debut CD won a 2009 Juno Award for Best Roots-Traditional Album of the Year. Their second CD, City, City was nominated for the same award. This stylish and endearingly playful vocal quintet features singers Ariane Jean, Andrina Turenne, Alexa Dirks and Annick Bremault, with drummer and percussionist Sacha Daoud. Chic Gamine use their voices as instruments, effortlessly launching into intricate string arrangements, bass-heavy rhythm sections and lush harmonies.
