The 2013 Calgary Flood

Hi everyone,

Like many of you, I’ve been completely overwhelmed by the severity of the flood last week.  I took in evacuated family for a couple of days and since then have been helping friends in Elbow Park whose house had three feet of water on their main floor.  I’ve been contacted by several of our out of province performers and I’m very grateful for their concern and expressions of support.  The outpouring of volunteer labour, assisting those whose homes have been hit has been impressive.  It’s a huge clean-up and re-building task we face and I want to thank all those Nick volunteers and patrons who have pitched in to help family, friends, neighbors and strangers.

cheers,   Vic
