One of Canada’s most powerful Celtic-folk artists, Lizzy is known for bringing Canadian history to life with her songs like Vimy Ridge, White Feather, and New Lady on the Prairie. She has been praised for her mastery of the fiddle, guitar and harp and her voice has been described as “otherworldly,” “angelic,” “sweet” and “pure.” New Lady on the Prairie blends influences from Celtic, bluegrass and folk traditions. The album was nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award (Traditional Singer of the Year), a Western Canadian Music Award and three Independent Music Awards.
